Talia & Kevin's Wedding Details
Their Story:

Talia & Kevin were married on August 23rd, 2008

Talia and Kevin are a couple originally from the South Bay Area of San Francisco who currently reside in San Jose, CA. They were married at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley on August 23, 2008.

How They Met: Talia’s sister was living in San Francisco attending a culinary school and Kevin was one of her classmates. Talia and Kevin met at a birthday party at her sister’s house. They were very lucky to have hit it off immediately and they didn’t waste any time….they had their first date the very next week and have been together ever since.

The Proposal: Talia and Kevin share a love of good food and wine (he was afterall a culinary school student!). One weekend, Talia and Kevin attended an outdoor music and wine festival and while basking in the glow afterward, Kevin spontaneously proposed to Talia right in the kitchen!

Their Wedding

Ceremony & Reception Site:
Talia wanted a special outdoor venue close to the Bay Area and found just that in Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley. The couple held both their ceremony and reception at this breathtaking venue.

Photography:
Talia decided upon Rhee Bevere for their wedding photography. This company worked their magic for Talia and Kevin. Talia loved how they capture the aesthetic theme of the day (rustic elegance), as well as their level of professionalism.

Catering:
The couple met with several caterers about their Wedding banquet. They knew that Michael’s Catering could provide the attractive and incredibly tasty meal that they wanted for their guests. They were also thrilled with the level of service provided.

Other Wedding Services:
Other service/product providers were a beautiful and tasty wedding cake by Icing On The Cake, beautiful floral designs by Weddings By Roseanne, reception music provided by Extreme Productions, and coordination by Amy Byrd.

The Rest of The Story:
Talia had worked briefly with a wedding coordination company while in San Francisco. She had also been the primary coordinator for her sister’s wedding back in October of 2007 (she used Central Coast Bride’s San Luis Obispo County wedding planning guide for that wedding as her sister was married in Cambria, CA). So when it came time to plan her wedding, she knew exactly how to start. Talia has always loved a friend’s ranch near Mt. Shasta and wanted her wedding in a similar setting: outdoors with beautiful trees and topography, close to the Bay Area and having a certain ‘feel or spirit’ to it. She found that and more in Holman Ranch and they both knew it was the right place for them the instant they drove onto the property. Talia and Kevin recently celebrated their 1-year anniversary riding horses back at Holman Ranch! To those of us who live on the beautiful Central Coast, it comes as no surprise why brides choose to travel from nearby California communities to spend vacations and special occasions surrounded by the natural beauty that defines the Central Coast!
