Our wedding was on 3-17-2012 in Santa Monica. On our wedding day it was raining and we were not sure if there would be any pics outside. I was greeted by Kim and her assistant with a big smile. She assured me that we would be going outside and getting pics outside. It was like she made the rain go away.
Kim's vision in what type of pics that we wanted was spot on. She was not pushy and knew what we both wanted. She incorporated our church into the pics well. Using different angles to show the vision of our wedding.
What I know is that she was there and all the moments that we wanted were captured. She was kind and not aggressive to get the shots. She allowed for our wedding to unfold and was there to capture the moments.
Kim was professional and very personable and we both enjoyed her shooting our wedding. We are both very thankful and we would highly recommend Kim and her staff to come and capture your special day. |

We can't say enough about the truly wonderful experience we had with Harrison Douglas Photography. We lost our photographer a month before the wedding and I found Kim through the reviews on this website and a recommendation from our florist. They were spot on! From the first desperate phone call to the last moment of the reception, Kim was there. She was immediately responsive and full of great ideas for the shots and for the best way to get them done quickly and "get to our party." She and her assistant were cheerful, kind, and encouraging. They were also almost invisible. By that I mean that they melted into the crowd and hid somewhere in the church and we did not notice them as they got these fabulous shots. We are an older couple and I am a queen-sized bride, but our pictures are exquisite, happy, and full of life. I would use them again at any excuse and would highly, highly recommend Harrison Douglas Photography to anyone for every special occasion! |

Harrison and Kim were great to work with! They were reasonably priced with very high quality work! Everyone loved having Harrison and Kim take their photos. They fit right in with our wedding, and we didn't even notice they were there! They have great personalities and are very calm, funny and reassuring! Our photos turned out beautiful, and we have received countless compliments on them. I love that Harrison and Kim add an artsy touch to their photography style. We have some IR photos they took that are simply AMAZING! If you are looking for more than standard wedding photos, I would highly recommend Kim and Harrison to anyone. I didn't realize how important two photographers were until we got our photos back. There were so many shots that Kim and Harrison got, that I would have never seen if I had only hired a single photographer. Also, the unlimited time is priceless! |

Getting married is an extremely personal and emotional time. You want to take in every moment and remember every extraordinary feature of the event. Finding professionals to work with you and respect your vision on that special day can be stressful and at times overwhelming. The minute I encountered Kim and Harrison I knew that everything would be seamless and that I wanted them to photograph my wedding!
The number one reason I highly recommend them is their customer service. From our first conversation they put me at ease and offered a warm and detailed explanation of what they could do for me. They were always kind, professional and consistent in checking in with me. They made me feel so comfortable prior to my event and on that special day! I knew that I never had to worry not even for one minute because they had my back and handled it effortlessly.
The photographs were amazing and totally aligned with what my husband and I had imagined. We are beyond pleased with the results and so happy we didn't go with anyone else. In addition to their awesome customer service and beautiful images...they're pricing is very reasonable. Love them!

We met Kim and Harrison Douglas at a Bridal Show in San Luis Obispo a little over a year ago. Though it's tough to remember specifics about most of the different wedding vendors that we met that day (there were a ton!), we do remember Kim and Harrison's photography work standing out. Their photo albums and photos were unique from the rest that we saw.
When we started doing research on all photographer vendors that we received information on from the Bridal Show, Harrison Douglas Photography was definitely in the top three of our favorites - but we were forced to choose based off of price. Not only was Kim VERY responsive to every one of my many emails (the coast was a destination wedding for us, so we were out of town) but she negotiated whatever it took to be the number one pick!
And what a great pick they were! When we met them again to do our engagement shots, they seemed like old friends. They were both so comfortable in their work and so kind to us - and they capture the best moments. Our engagement book turned out so great and again, it was very unique!
We don't have enough words to express our gratitude for their work done at our wedding. They both devoted the entire day to taking such memorable photos on our special day. Their personalities meshed so well with our guests, they were seamless in all of their photo-taking moments, very professional, and delivered to us fantastic work! Our wedding photos were available for us to view just 2 days after the wedding and we had over 700 of them to enjoy!!
We would recommend Harrison Douglas Photography to any engaged couple looking for the best photos of their wedding day!

Kim from Harrison Douglas Photography was our photographer on our wedding day. We were married on 9/10/11, one of the most popular days of the year for weddings!!! She was AMAZING!! She was so fun, flexible, creative and soooooo incredible sweet. She called me several times before my wedding to get to know me and to make sure she understood how I wanted my day to play out. Harrison Douglas Photography was fantastic at our wedding event. Kim was our main photographer and we were fortunate to have Carlos as our secondary photographer.
They both did an amazing job. Their professionalism, enthusiasm,
insight and overall attitude made the whole event fun and stress free
and it shows in their work. Their fun and friendly nature during the after the ceremony photo shoot
helped create some of the best pictures we could have hoped for. During the reception, their behind the scenes work made us forget they were even there making for some great candid shots. They didn't miss anything! They come prepared and organized ahead of time to ensure they take every picture you request. For the price, quality and limitless personal time they provided us from start to finish, they can't be beat!
Pictures last forever and Harrison Douglas Photography took beautiful ones.

There is most certainly a GOOD reason why all Kim & Harrison's reviews are outstanding!! They were both SO MUCH FUN, professional, and take gorgeous pictures!! I was worried that my fiancee and two sons would shy away from the camera, but Kim and Harrison made them laugh and feel comfortable with being photographed! It was more then a pleasure to have them capture our day, and we plan to have many future photo sesions with them!
Not only are they wonderful people, but professional, and the most resonable prices in central california!!

Getting wedding pictures taken shouldn't be a nightmare, and let me tell you, we had THE BEST team in the business. We booked a 2 day shoot. First day was pics of us. We spent day 1 wandering through wine country, and with their trained eyes we ended up with some of the most amazing pictures we have ever had of each other. The IR is AWESOME! Day 2 was wedding and reception. H and Kim are family now, they are highly trained, professional, but more important for us, FUN. We loved how they interacted with everyone and the pics are amazing. Don't forget, all couples have to have them make a wedding album. Worth the price, in fact given what we got the price is nothing compared to the memories and quality of the album. Lastly. H's handmade artwork is the most unique and beautiful things we could have imagined. H took our favorite picture is somehow put it on these old fashioned ceramic tiles and framed it in weathered wood and stucco. Hand painted and priceless. There is no other photographers out there, that can come close to the quality, choices, integrated artwork and professional albums as Harrison Douglas Photography. Simply the best, don't make a mistake and choose someone else, you will be sorry! WE LOVE YOU!!!! |

I had the plessure of meeting Harrison and Kim at the santa barbara bridal expo. Though i was not there looking at photographers, since i had already booked someone else. I was floored when i walked by their display! I actually sat there and had a 30min long conversation with them about their style and how i was drawn to it. Well as it turns out my first photographer just randomly bailed, but i stayed calm and knew exactly who i wanted to call! Harrison and Kim made our day so calm, they didnt make me feel rushed and were so relaxed that we just had fun with it. They went out of their way to help us with everything, ill never forget that when we were getting ready to cut the cake i realized there wasnt a plate on the table, and Kim stopped what she was doing and ran to get me one. I know it seems small but it just goes to show how much they care about making your day special and running smooth. Since the wedding which took place march 16, 2011 we have also used their talents in surprising my mom with a birthday presant- Harrison made her an amazing wood art peice, a family photo from the wedding. I cannot put into words the job that Harrison Douglas did for us. We were absolutely amazed, their shots quite literally made us laugh, cry, and fall in love all over again. Kim and Harrison are hands down the best and I give them my highest recommendation. Our wedding photos are positively perfect- I couldn't be more pleased with the way they turned out. Kim and Harrison arrived exactly on time to begin taking the photos and they were both so friendly, accommodating, and professional throughout the entire process. The value they offer is exceptional and surpasses all the other competition out there. My father and I did a lot of research before hiring a wedding photographer and we were not able to find any that offer the packages that Kim and Harrison do for such low prices. The fact that they give you a CD of ALL of your photos to keep is a huge bonus. Even now that the wedding is over, Kim and Harrison respond to all my inquiries about my orders and the album promptly.
